Services and Operating Times - Update March 17th 2020
Brylaine will always aim to operate the services we have scheduled as part of our timetables.
Our focus is on how we can best maintain essential services, safeguard jobs and ensure that we continue to be a central part of our economy and communities. Whilst we will always endeavour to operate your local bus serviecs there may well be times in the coming weeks - when individual journeys might be disrupted due to staffing levels.
We will always post this information on our website, on our APP or on Twitter to give passengers notice where-ever we can.
There is an expectation that when schools close on/or before the 6th April 2020, we will be operating reduced timetables which will be posted online and in local press. The services will enable local communities access to work, shops, doctors/ hospitals etc, ensuring everyone still has opportunity to visit local amenities.
The government has already stated that social distancing for family, friends and children for self-isolation is an important measure in controlling COVID 19. Whilst we guide our teams at work who are following the very latest advice from the Government and public health authorities regarding coronavirus, they will also follow government guidance in terms of social distancing and health welfare for their families.
We are closely monitoring and managing the current situation and Government advice is that it is safe to travel on public transport.
Our priority is to protect the safety of our customers and our own employees. In addition, we will continue to liaise closely with government and public health authorities on any further steps we should take.
Many thanks - Team Brylaine.
